Thai Wai Coconut Curry

Homemade in Minutes

Named after the traditional Thai ‘wai’ greeting, this luscious yellow curry-style soup emanates authentic Thai flavor. The curry spices and velvety coconut texture marry perfectly, and we added just a tiny kick of sweet-heat to make it, well, just right.

    Thai Wai coconut curry

Excellent..I used Costco's cooked chicken and it was fast and good. Yes, the addition of a fair amount of lime, and even grated lime , and cilantro made this a great and fast soup.

    Thai Coconut Soup

Excellent soup! I did add a table spoon of red curry paste because I just love a good curry. A lot more rice than expected but the shredded chicken balanced it out . I want to try shredded beef next time.

One of the Best Frontier Soups

Posted by Chloe on Oct 18th 2023

I've tried nearly all of the frontier soup packages and this is one of the best. Amazing flavor. I edited the recipe a bit and only used 1 can of coconut milk and subbed water for the rest - I would say this is definitely all you need because even with 1 can it was very rich. I also added a small butternut squash. The soup can lean a little sweet so I think the key to serving it is with plenty of lime and cilantro - amazing!

    10 out of 10!

Posted by Julia on Mar 19th 2023

This soup was a 10/10 pick-up from the store! Two of my family members love spice and two don’t. The latter two were cautious about the curry, but ended up loving the soup and eating seconds! For those who like heavy Indian-inspired spice, you may want to add some salt and extra curry. Overall, a great soup across the board! I’d totally buy this again. Such easy and hands-off cooking!
