Cheddar Beer Chowder Recipe

Try this beer infused recipe variation for our popular Illinois Prairie Corn Chowder Mix.

Ingredients:

1 package Frontier Soups  Illinois Prairie Corn Chowder Mix
1 12-oz. bottle Pale Ale Beer or Lager
3 med white potatoes, peeled and diced 
6 cups chicken broth
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 
1 cup cream

Recipe Directions:

In a 4-quart pot bring broth and potatoes to a boil.

Stir in the contents of the Illinois Prairie Corn Chowder Mix along with beer. return to a simmer, cover 45 minutes over low heat..

Add cheese and cream, stir well, bring back to a simmer over low heat uncovered for 30 minutes.

Remove bay leaf and serve.
