    Tomato Basil

Posted by Marie on Dec 13th 2023

We tried your soup this evening, I did take the liberty to add: frozen peas and carrots, then a little more pepper, fresh basil, a can of chicken, whipping cream, and I only had tomato sauce in the cabinet so I added that. Let it simmer about an hour and a half on the stove top…my husband loved it. Said it really filled him up. Good soup and best thing for me…No Soy! Looking on site for what to make next.

    Mississippi Delta Tomato Basil Soup

Posted by Anne on Feb 5th 2023

I made this soup tonight and my husband said it was the best soup he had ever tasted. I also found it to be quite delicious. I used half & half instead of heavy cream and reduced the sugar by half, which I would do again.

Tried this soup for the first time. It is fabulous. I tell my friends that the heavy cream absorbs all the calories! Highly recommended.

I used lactose free milk with 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Posted by Cheryl C. on Dec 7th 2022

I bought the frontier soup - (tomato basil) in Breckenridge, Colorado while visiting. When we got back to Georgia, it was a cold day so I made it. I added shredded chicken, macaroni, fresh Chopped basil & had to substitute the heavy cream, so I used lactose-free milk with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. It was a wonderful meal. I will order these for gifts for sure.
