    Tomato Basil Soup Mix

The cloves were a surprising and unwelcome spice addition. ***Anderson House Reply 7.18.24*** Thank you for your comments. While most of our customers enjoyed the clove, those that did not REALLY did not enjoy the clove. We recently removed clove from the recipe. Happy eating!

    Family favorite!

The first time I made this I was going to make the variation served over rice, but misread it and just put the rice and extra water in the soup. My daughters loved it so much that now I always make it like this so it's creamy tomato rice soup. My daughters will literally say out of the blue, "Remember how good that creamy tomato rice soup is? Can we have that again this week?"

    Mississippi Delta Tomato Basil Soup

Made this today or my husband's lunch. I didn't have any tomato puree, but substituted fire roasted tomatoes. Added 3/4 pound of diced smoked pepper jack sausage links and 1/3 cup chopped celery. Simmered for 30 minutes and it was so good.

    Tomato Basil

We tried your soup this evening, I did take the liberty to add: frozen peas and carrots, then a little more pepper, fresh basil, a can of chicken, whipping cream, and I only had tomato sauce in the cabinet so I added that. Let it simmer about an hour and a half on the stove top…my husband loved it. Said it really filled him up. Good soup and best thing for me…No Soy! Looking on site for what to make next.
