Cheddar Beer Corn Chowder Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a 4-quart pot, bring chicken broth and diced potatoes to a boil.

  2. Stir in the contents of the Illinois Prairie Corn Chowder Mix and add the beer. Return to a simmer.

  3. Cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes.

  4. Add cheddar cheese and cream. Stir until well blended. Simmer uncovered for another 30 minutes on low.

  5. Remove the bay leaf and serve warm with crusty bread, pretzel rolls, or even in a bread bowl for the ultimate comfort food experience.
